We have installed many varieties of gutter protection systems on homes over the years. There are many options and some perform better than others. We have chosen VersaGuard gutter protection to install on the homes that we service. This is a product that we have developed in Washington State in order to combat the vegetation from the Pacific Northwest. To find out more about this product, click here.
The biggest misconception about gutter guards is that once they are installed, you can forget about your gutters. Gutter guards require routine maintenance, just as gutters do. The difference, however, is that once VersaGuard is installed in your home, the maintenance required to keep the water running from your roof into your gutters decreases dramatically. The debris will no longer accumulate in your gutters, downspouts, and drains, rather, it will usually rest on top of the gutter guard while still allowing the water to pass through the screen into your gutters. This accumulation of debris must be cleaned off periodically. We recommend this service be done as often as you clean off your roof. There is more cost upfront for the VersaGuard protection, with an average payoff of approximately 7 years, however, once past that payoff date, the cost to maintain your roof and gutters is significantly less.
